I have Stage 4 Kidney disease and I am trying to loose weight. High blood pressure is a real issue and being overweight makes it worse. I have to limit my protein intake to 65 grams or less a day. Does anyone else have this problem or any info to help?

Hi, carfriday827, and welcome. Until others chime in, I would like to give you a couple of tips for adjusting your menu here to suit your needs, assuming from you’re post that you are not a diabetic and are not limited in potassium, phosphorus, or magnesium.
    – For every snack, substitute the protein exchange with a fat, fruit, or vegetable exchange
    – For lunch and dinner, substitute 1 protein exchange (e.g., an ounce of meat/poultry/seafood/dairy) with a fat, fruit, or vegetable exchange.
    – Using the vegetarian menu can help – even if you don’t follow it all the time, creating one to trade in a couple of days a week can be enough
    – Take advantage of herbs and spices to avoid sodium and support the rest of your health.
If you have any further questions, please do repost.

Thanks for the great help. Went shopping today and I am ready to start. Are the Simple products good to use?

Hi, carfriday. Do you mean at Target? If so, yes they are.
