CathyRaMemberIs the weight for the meat for raw or cooked?
Is Granola a type of muesli?
Just starting, and want to make sure I get it right.
Thanks CathyJanuary 18, 2015 at 11:40 pm #25982
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Cathy. Meat = raw, granola is muesli that is mixed with a sweetener and/or fat (and often cooked) to make clusters.

CathyRaMemberThanks for that. How much time do you leave in between each meal? Have been struggling to eat all the food. Not use to all the carbs. Lots of variety. Cheers Cathy

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Cathy. No problem.
Most people have about 2-1/2 to 3 hours between meals. If you can’t finish, don’t fight it. Just be sure to get at least 5 total servings of fruits+vegetables and 3 servings of calcium-rich foods each day – if you just cut back on starchy carbs a little, that will be fine. If you find yourself getting too hungry toward the end of the day, see if you can dial up a little earlier in the day.January 21, 2015 at 12:06 am #26095
Lindalou45140MemberThis post helped me thanks for raising the question Ossie, and the answer CathyRA. I am thinking of putting a timer on my phone to remind me to eat every 2 to 3 hours. My doctor wants me to eat something every 2 hours.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, LindaLou. That’s a great idea. Hopefully it will ultimately become second nature 🙂
