mgee7890MemberI work at a busy hospital . Lunch is on the fly so I take Smart Ones lunches. Can they be incorporated on this plan? They are always meatless BTW.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, mgee7890. It’s great that you choose meatless options, but SmartOnes are a bit more processed than we generally recommend. If you can make your lunch the evening or weekend before and freeze portions in individual glass containers for later reheating, that would be ideal. If you don’t have time for that, then I would suggest organic options, as they tend to have fewer chemicals. You can fit these in your menu planner according to the ingredients. For example, this meatless lasagne (http://www.amys.com/products/product-detail/light-lean/000062 – note the ingredients list, nearly 100% whole foods) would equal a cup of pasta (2 carb exchanges), plus 1-1/2 ounces of protein. You can see the exchanges in your menu by clicking on “Exchange mode” in the toolbar above your finished menu in the Menu Planner and comparing the meal of your choice to this – http://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists.
