nhhicks61MemberI am beginning week 3, and lost no weight at end of week 2. Also, my blood sugar levels are staying high, instead of going down. Very discouraging. Shouldn’t things be turning around by now? Why does it seem not to be working for me?

nhhicks61MemberAlso, I received an e-mail congratulating me on being at week 5. I just finished week 2. I’m getting my menus from the 60 day challenge site, since the regular site can’t seem to keep up with where I am in the program.

SupportKeymasterHi nhhicks61,
Please note, there is no time limit with regards to how long you spend on each week. You can take your time, and go at your own pace. Once you complete a week it will automatically unlock the next week, but you can remain in the week you are on, and also return to previous weeks should you wish.
Best 🙂February 3, 2015 at 12:59 pm #26676
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, nhhicks61. I see that your BMI puts you very near the border between two different menu levels. I suggest suggest that you change your weight to “158 lbs” in your profile, which will drop you to a level that may be more supportive.
What is your physical activity like? Keep in mind that even taking a walk for 20 minutes per day can be like medicine.February 9, 2015 at 5:43 pm #26885
nhhicks61MemberThank you for your advice to show my weight as 158 to put me in a different menu category. I left it at 169 for an additional week just to see if my weight would start moving, and it didn’t. After losing 3 lbs. in week one, nothing in week two, and again, nothing in week 3, I changed my weight to 158 for week four. Let’s see if it works. Will the new menu selections require less food?

SupportKeymasterHi nhhicks61,
The menu selection process will stay the same. But the portion sizes and combinations might change slightly to give you a menu plan that matches the change in weight.
Best 🙂

bettywolverton1MemberCan I use cinnamon sticks instead of the store bought ground cinnamon and will it end the sawdust problem if I use the little hand grater to grind it.

tedordorismartinMemberAre we supposed to eat our snacks or lunch anyway if we miss the meal? sometimes I am out & can’t eat them.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, tedordorismartin. You don’t have to push yourself, but do be careful not to get so hungry as a result that you binge later in the day.

trumanhmasonMemberI’m just finishing my second week. Week 1 I lost 10 whole pounds wow.. Week 2? 3 pounds. What happened. How can I break the barrier. I am very obese for my size and I really need to lose as much as possible. I have been following the 8 week plan to the letter (mostly)

Clcasey9MemberTo nhhicks61. I also have diabetes and I do not plan to eat the serving sizes in rice potatoes or fruits or breads. I will not cut the categories out because they r part of this healthy diet but I will cut the fruit by half and rice from 1/2 cup to 1/4 cup. You might want to give this a try.. It does work for me with blood sugar numbers.

Ossie-SharonMemberTruman, no worries 🙂 Weight and weight changes will fluctuate, ans there may even be days without change. You are doing very, very well!
