ParticipantMy husband and I are just starting this program and have a question on crackers. Are Toasteds Crackers such as Toasted Sesame and Harvest Wheat ok for a snack. I was diagnosed with celiac sprue and have the 7 Grain Crackers with Sea Salt. Are these type of crackers allowed on this program?

MemberYou can tell if crackers are OK by checking the label (look for things like “100% whole” grain or wheat, etc.) and the ingredients list (avoid artificial additives, refined flours, high-fructose corn syrup, etc.).

MemberHi, Jeannine. In general, a serving depends on the food and how much you are allotted. You can see your allottment by clicking on “Exchange mode” in the toolbar above any of your menus. With regard to vegetables, a serving of non-starchy vegetables is 1 cup (240 ml), and for starchy vegetables 1/2 cup (120 ml).

MemberHi, Karen. No, these refer to the very tiny, thin types (about 5 cm in diameter, just a couple of mm thick) such as Cathedral City Baked Bites.
