    • Hi, NormaGibson. Scrambled egg can be great, depending on the type of egg and additives you use – we recommend omega-3 eggs or pastured types, cooked in olive oil with regular milk or a vegan milky beverage made with all-natural ingredients. Bacon should be “uncured” – in other words, without added artificial nitrites, and beans are always great (especially if prepared with minimal added sugar). Ultimately it becomes about portion size – according to your menu pattern, you could have one egg scrambled with 1/4 cup of milk and cooked in 1 teaspoon of olive oil, with 1 strip of uncured bacon and 1/2 cup of beans, plus a serving of fruit. You can make these substitutions by clicking on the circular arrow icon to the right of the meal header, then selecting the specific foods you want (guided by your allotted exchanges).

    Thank you

  3. Can I have a jacket potato instead of mashed potato?
I would like to have more cereals at breakfast and sandwiches at lunch time but when I edit my planner for each day I don’t get the alternative option. Please would you advise.

    • Hi, bowler123. If the amount of the actual potato is the same, then absolutely! As for the foods in your menu, be sure to check them as you go through the personal Menu Planner (many cereals currently are not, for example), and in your final menu, you can trade any carb for that option by clicking on the unwanted one, and making the choice from the pop-up menu. I see at lunch you have quite a few ingredients to make sandwiches.
