How do you incorporate rice protein powder into the daily menu? How many carbs proteins and fats are we allowed?

Hi, CindyMS. Everyone has different nutrient needs. For you, your allotment would be about 80 grams of protein, 200 grams of carbohydrates, and 70 grams of fat. Since your protein needs are covered by that, you don’t really need a supplement. We generally recommend not to use isolated protein powders, but rather to use whole foods. Is there a specific reason you want to use the powder?

I am trying to become vegetarian and I don’t really want tofu and quark we don’t have here so I thought I could substitute with protein powder. I was wondering where on the site I find the exchange lists

Hi, Cindy. The exchange lists are here – http://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists.
There are many other types of plant-based proteins you can choose here – legumes, nuts and seeds, and all of the related products. The minute you can your profile to “vegetarian” and “non-dairy” together, it switches you over to a pattern that ensures you get enough protein from your food.

Hi, Cindy. If it isn’t already in the Menu Planner lists, just select something similar as a place-saver, and then make the swap at mealtime.
