susiesedonaMemberI am a Type 2 Diabetic and would like to know if that is taken into consideration on this meal plan. I am in Day 2 and have had blood sugar lows (in the 50’s and 60’s) each day so far. I need to take something to bring my blood sugars up so I take about 3/4 tablespoon of honey. Is that ok? Should I add more carbs to my plan?

sraggio_25MemberI am well type 2 Diabetic if you are low on sugar levels, I think you did the right thing, taking natural sugar is the best if doing that, you don’t want to get hypo, keep some jelly beans near.
Hope that helps.April 10, 2015 at 12:19 am #28390
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Susiedona (and thanks, sraggio!). This program is based on the principles of diabetes care, and is one of the reasons for frequent meals. Some diabetic Clubmembers have found that they get away with lower doses of medications when following the plan. I would suggest to check with your health care provider to see if your dose needs to be adjusted.
