love sweet potato fries. would this be a good food to use as a snack or incorporate into a meal? thought about cutting up and baking in oven. thoughts?
browsing some older posts and found this. Was out to dinner last night and chose halibut with salad and (ick) plain white restaurant rice . Asked them not to give me the rice and opted for sweet potato fries (unsalted) from the appetizer section of the menu. Counted that as my regular carb plus two fats – is that about right? Baking them in the oven sounds better – perhaps lightly tossed in olive oil?
Great idea, cghanney. That’s exactly what we have in mind.
I thought that we had to have non starchy vegies for Snacks. So that right or can we just have any veggie?
Hi, Connie. We had the non-starchy vegetables in mind for “vegetables” – you can have the starchy ones as your “carb.”
