Is it normal to gain instead of losing weight?
Yes, but it usually doesn’t last long. Sometimes your body starts to store food as fat because you have changed your normal intake. Sort of, starvation mode. This will usually pass as your body adjusts to your new eating habits. Also, you may not be eating enough which can cause this same reaction by your body. I’ve been at this for about 8 months and for me it was basically “lose 2, gain 1”. If you are honest to the diet it will pay off. It does require patience, however. Drinking water and exercising are important.
Thank you. It’s very disheartening . I will hang in there. Been walking a little over 2 miles a day. Hope it helps
