    I lost about 4-5 lbs the first week. I’m gong on my 3rd week and I’ve hit a dead end street. Not losing ANYTHING!! Now what???

    Hi, Kristen. First, congratulations on your loss. Second – don’t worry! Your initial loss was quite fast, and it is natural for things to balance out. Third, if you recently started exercising, you may be trading fat for muscle tissue, and muscle is heavier (so the scale may not move, even as you look and feel better). If your clothes are still fitting the way they used to, the best thing to do is to see about modifying your physical activity – adding either time to each workout, workouts to each day or week, or intensity to your sessions. You can also change exercises, to wake up new muscles, and crosstrain by combining cardio with strength training.
