For non or low impact exercise swimming including water aerobics, treading water, lap swimming and water walking are far better programs for those with arthritis, back, knee and/or hip issues. There are a whole variety of exercises using water resistance as an exercise aid. I am surprised to see nothing about this topic in the fitness section of Trimdown Club.

swimming is the best!
I swim twice a week for 60 min. Have done now for a while. Will try some of the exercises that you recommended.
