I am only on my second week and would just like someone to clarify I am on the right track. Once I have built my menu, if I view the exchange mode, this tells me what the carbs, fats, proteins are for that menu.

What do I do if I want to build my own menu – is there a list that defines, carbs, fats proteins.

I had poached eggs on toast today and have put that at 2 protein, 2 carbs, 1 fat for the butter.

When I joined I could download the trimdown cookbook but I see this does not list carbs, proteins etc on a lot of the recipes.

I would be most grateful for any advise…

    Regards
    Shelly

Hi, Shellytell, and welcome! The list of exchanges is here: http://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists.
To include recipes in your menu, you can use the exchanges listed for the recipes (near the bottom) to fit them in – swap them for similar items that are placed there by the Menu Planner application.

Thank you Ossie, when I am looking at the exchange list and it shows for example 100% wholegrain bread, does it mean that 1 slice of bread is gives me 1 carb exchange which is 15 grames and also gives me 1.5-3g of protein, so a slice of bread has a carbohydrate and protein value?????

I just want to be very clear I am understanding the lists

    Regards
    Shelly

Hi, Dawn. Absolutely! In ‘Apps’ above, select the Menu Planner application, and among its options, the Personal Menu Planner (all the way to the right).
