MemberHi, I’m new and I’m from Nigeria. The meal plans is fantastic but some of the ingredients are literally impossible to get here. Also can a meal plan be created That has some of nigerian meals. Don’t know if that is possible.

MemberHi, Vivian, and welcome! We have a few Nigerians in this program, and we encourage them/you to favor your homecooking. All you need to do is use the personal version of the Menu Planner (the right-most option here – http://www.trimdownclub.com/menu-planner), so that you can choose the basic foods that you would use in a recipe or that best resemble what you want. For example, for tuwo masara, you would select a food based on cornmeal (polenta, corn meal mash); oxtail is basically just beef; tuwo shinkafa is just rice (we hope you can try to make your rice dishes with wild or brown instead of white rice); etc. Many of your fruits are already in the food lists as-is, though the starchiest ones (e.g., breadfruit) are in the “Carbohydrates” category rather than fruit.
If you find that the menus don’t come up in a usable way, you can try the sub-application (click on the circular arrow icon to the right of the meal title in your menu, and a dialog box will pop up to guide you). If you would like more assistance with this, please do repost here. - AuthorPosts
