Can I drink Almond milk instead of cow’s milk? I like it better and it has a longer life span. If so would the amount consumed be the same? thank you
Hi, Swissms3. You can drink almond milk instead of cow’s, but note that they are quite different nutritionally. Almond milk doesn’t have much of the protein, fat, and other nutrients of cow’s milk, but it also doesn’t have the disadvantages. We recommend to get the type of almond milk fortified with vitamins and calcium, and to be sure additional protein elsewhere in the meal. Note that in terms of carbohydrates, you can have about twice the amount of unsweetened almond milk.
