GerardineHyMemberMy husband has high cholesterol & is taking lipatol high dose. I’ve been buying margarine spread “that lowers cholesterol “. If we change to butter will that be bad for him? And is it ok to use spreadable reduced salt butter.
ThanksOctober 28, 2016 at 10:14 pm #36941
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Gerardine. What is the name of the margarine spread – all have different effects. What is the brand of spreadable butter that you wish to use?

jayceeno1MemberIs this safe to consume so many whole wheat items in a day. It seems like I’m eating a lot in one day.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Jayceeno1. If you have been on restrictive diets in the past, this program may indeed seem like it has a lot of food – the amounts are actually normal in terms of nutrition, but high volume from water and fiber to stave off hunger. If you are sensitive to wheat products, you can click on any of them in your menu to swap it for another food in the same group. If you’re concerned about carbohydrates, note that overall, this program is quite low, about 45% of energy (compared to 60+% in “regular” diets).
