    What’s the difference between an “egg omega 3” and an “egg regular?”

    Hi, Mary. An “omega-3” egg has been fortified with beneficial omega-3 fatty acids (such as the DHA usually found in fish), whereas a regular egg is much lower in these and higher in omega-6 fatty acids (which are usually too high in the modern diet). Note that pastured eggs also tend to be high in omega-3s.

    Hi, Mary. Artificial sweeteners aren’t generally the best thing for your efforts here, but if it’s something you like, perhaps just try to compensate for it with plenty of probiotics like yogurt – but use the full fat type, plain, and add your own fruit and a good sweetener like Stevia or erythritol (found in shops or online).

    Hi Sharon
    Ive been choosing 0% fat plain greek yoghurt and 0% fat cottage cheese thinking its the healthier option. Should I switch to full fat ? Also I tend to use semi skimmed milk?

    Also is it ok to use an oxo cube for gravey now and then?

    Hi, Irene. Occasional use of anything is generally fine. Just note that Oxo contains monosodium glutamate (MSG), which may interfere with your efforts here.     Regarding dairy products, full fat is indeed a better choice than skimmed or 0%. If you can upgrade to organic, free-range, or similar, that’s optimal (http://www.freerangedairy.org/free-range-dairy-case-studies/).
