How much of avacodo can you have and can it exchange with another vegie
Hi, Chargrand. Avocado is actually considered a fat here, and each two tablespoons (30 ml or 1/5 medium avocado) is a fat exchange that can take the place of a teaspoon (5 ml) of oil or butter. However, because it is still technically a (low-sugar) fruit, you can have an additional exchange (2 tablespoons) instead of a serving of vegetables, or 1.5 exchanges (3 tablespoons) instead of a serving of fruit.
