Home › Forums › Nutrition & Diet › 2 % cow milk with cereal
i have been reading some question and answers in the forums and somewhere I saw that it was assumed having milk with cereal. which is great cause I have been not having cereal because milk was not listed.
I realize 2% is not what you probably recommend but currently that is what I have so I want to use that until its gone. Could you please let me know how much of it I can have with my cereal, and then what cow milk I should be drinking and how much with the cereal or alone with a meal?
also when I go into the sub food exchange mode, what does it mean when it has a green plus sign under fats and sweets?
Hi, Theresa. The amount of milk you can have with your cereal depends on what else you are having that morning, but the amount is generally a cup (you can use the Monday breakfast in your current menu as an example).
The green plus sign under fats and sweets means that you can add an exchange from the indicated groups.
