MemberI need to discuss a diet plan with a dietician/nutritionist. Just finished chemo and finally got off the prednisone. I need to drop back down at least 20 lbs and need help because my system is really off.
Thank you!February 28, 2017 at 9:16 pm #37928Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, Joellen. I would be happy to work with you. Can you describe how you ate before the chemo? How is your appetite now? Any taste changes? Any specific restrictions?

MemberHi, My appetite is good but I have no appetite for vegetables. I seem to be craving carbs. My former eating pattern was low fat, low sodium because of a blood pressure problem. I am limited to exercise but am slowly getting back to walking daily. My strength is coming back slowly.
Thank you for your help. JoEllenMarch 1, 2017 at 9:25 am #37934Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, Joellen. It’s great that you’re walking – just be patient with the return of your strength 🙂
If you’re craving carbs and don’t like vegetables, perhaps you can try tomato sauces on pasta, vegetable-based muffins for breakfast meals and desserts, and swapping out vegetable servings for non-starchy fruits such as berries and melons. - AuthorPosts
