What is an omega 3 egg?
Hi, Melanie. An omega-3 egg is an egg that is higher in omega-3 fatty acids (and lower in omega-6 fatty acids) than regular eggs, particularly the type of omega-3s found in fatty fish. These eggs are produced by giving laying hens feed that is high in omega-3 fatty acids, e.g. supplemented with flaxseed.
