Hi I have just returned to the trimdownclub. I am overweight, 72 yrs old & I have arthritis. I am thinking of going vegetarian or vegan as I have read that this sort of diet is very good for reducing inflammation in joints, I was wondering if this would be a good idea & if it would fit in with the plan. What do you think.
Thanks
Hi, Mary, and welcome back! Going vegetarian or vegan has indeed been associated with lower systemic inflammation. You can definitely do that here – in your profile, be sure to click on “Vegetarian,” and if you wish, “Non-Diary” in the lower right area. Then re-run your menus, preferably through the personal version of the Menu Planner, so that you can make the most healthful selections per our color-coding system (the lighter blue shades designate the best choices).
