New at this. My menu planner says a 1/2 cup of black beans. I can’t just eat plain old black beans. I made the 4 bean salad how about a 1/2 cup of that instead? Can anyone give me some feedback on this? Thanks.
Hi, honbb65. The menu items are kept generic only to give Clubmembers the freedom to prepare foods as you wish, hopefully taking into account the healthy food preparation principles we describe in our guides and articles. You absolutely can use your 4-bean salad instead of plain black beans – just be sure there aren’t a lot of extras that can add up, though you can just swap it from a salad dressing or gravy that is in your menu. You can also get ideas from our recipe collection.
