Hi just started my journey today…. lots to get around in my head!! I have a coffee machine and I was having 4 lattes a day, I am going to try and have just 2 but have changed to soya milk is this better for you??
Hi, Avajane, and welcome. Soy milk is fine, especially for women over 40.
Thanks for reply…….struggling with menopause heaviest weight I have been in years!! If I have lattes do I have to swap something for having them??
Hi, Avajane. It depends on the type and amount of soy milk you use, and what else you add. If you use unsweetened soymilk and just 1/2 cup (120 ml) each time, then don’t sweeten or use a no-carb option like Stevia, then the two lattes would together take the place of a protein exchange (such as an ounce of cheese or meat) – or in the case of a menopausal woman, a carbohydrate exchange (such as a slice of bread or 1/2 cup of cereal or pasta).
