    Hi, murph66. Other water, still or carbonated, plain or flavored with cut up fruit peels (just steep like tea), we also recommend teas and coffee – just be wise about what you add to it, avoiding artificial creamers and sweeteners. If you like soda, we recommend you make your own rather than relying on readymade products with excessive sugar or artificial sweeteners that can work against your goals here; just dress up plain soda water with natural flavor extracts (yes, “cola” is available!) or citrus peels and a natural no-carb sweetener (such as Stevia, monk fruit, and/or erythritol). Other beverages, such as fresh-squeezed juices and milks, are considered foods.

    How does brown sugar work or is it just raw sugar? Do you have any info on non grain vodka or red wine? I surethis is an item that should be limited but I am working with getting my husband interested and he is going to want something and I know beer is not good. Thanks Muddy45

    Hi, Muddy45. Raw sugar is a better bet than brown sugar, as the latter may contain refined sugar. Alcoholic beverages are indeed limited here, but not completely off limits. If you enter the Menu Planner food lists, you will see them listed under the “Beverage” subsection of the “Carbohydrates” section – they can be selected for inclusion in a menu.
    The portion sizes are as follows:
    4 fluid ounces (120 ml) dry wine
    7 fluid ounces (200 ml) regular beer
    13 fluid ounces (250 ml) light beer
    1.5 fluid ounces (1 shot) unsweetened liquor (including vodka)

    Thank you. I was really searching for a lectin free diet and trim down does not fit that. This is good is a very well rounded plan. And allows almost anything in moderation

    Hi, Muddy45. Actually, this plan is intentionally flexible to enable any sort of diet. The fully personal version of the Menu Planner menu-building application enables you to select only the foods that work for you, while avoiding the ones that don’t. You can access it by clicking on the “My Food Choices” icon (an apple) in the toolbar above your menu.
