I’m going to struggle eating the amount of food suggested here. I do not diet hence why I was drawn to this plan, I liked the paleo style eating but it’s too expensive & to ridged then I looked at the Mediterranean but again was working out too expensive. Then I decided everything in moderation was the key I’m not hugely overweight but my middle carrys the majority. I am disabled so exercising is very difficult & I believe that is what’s holding me back. I believe that I do eat healthy but I do have a sweet tooth too which trips me up. Now I’m on my own it is much easier to plan, buy & prepare my meals my only income is my disability so I have to be very careful with my funds. How can I impliment you food methods when I’m not used to eating so much. I always have weetabix fruit honey nuts & milk for my breakfast then maybe a banana with a glass of milk for lunch then my evening meal at around 5 to 6pm sometimes a piece of fruit later in the evening. How do I change to eat as much as your plans are suggesting?

Hi, hayladarla. First, you don’t have to buy expensive foods for this plan. As long as you select relatively whole and minimally processed foods without artificial or refined ingredients, you’ll be fine. Access the fully personal version of the Menu Planner by clicking on the “My Food Choices” icon in the toolbar above your menu – there you can select the foods that will work for you and your budget. Second, you absolutely can cut back on the portions if they are too much for you. Try to keep the proteins and produce intact as much as possible, though. Third, take a look at our “8-Week Program” for advice on low-impact exercise – scroll down to the bottom of the pages for Weeks 1, 3, 5, and 7.
