Why does chicken need to be ‘pasture’ (thinking you mean what I call ‘free-range’) but eggs not. Don’t know where I can get free-range chicken (which I eat a lot of, as in boneless, skinless breasts). But I do eat free-range eggs (also not listed).
Hhi, jacarrij. “Pastured” is a bit beyond “free range.” It indicates that the majority of an animal’s nutrition is from its natural diet – grasses, shrubbery, insects, and worms, for example – which translates to healthier meat. Some free-range producers may do this, so it is worth asking them.
Thanks. We will have to frequent specialty butchers, rather than supermarkets for this. Much more expensive here in Canada, though perhaps not in the States.
