Can I skip the onion in this dish
Hi, Sharon1nurse. Yes, that would be fine. I would suggest to increase the cucumber by a similar amount, just so that you don’t miss out on vegetables.
Can I drink the Pruvit Keto drinks in between my meals 2 xs a day
Hi, Need2lose716. Sure, but note that the two servings will add up to 220 calories per day, which is about the amount of your snack here – so just substitute. However, since the snack is an important opportunity for vegetables – still important, even on a keto plan, I suggest you add very-low-carb vegetables to other meals (cucumber, celery, salad greens, cooking greens, turnip, kohlrabi, radish).
Hello, what can I use in place of the avocado and the feta cheese?
Hi, Ruby2950. You can use 1 cup total cup of nuts, seeds, nut-based vegan cheese, tahini, sour cream, and/or olives instead of the avocado and feta.
Mine looks nothing like the recipe. It’s good though.
where can i get a shopping list to purchase items
Hi, drmetaturner. Click on the “Grocery List” button above your menu.
What do you do if you don’t/can’t eat cheese? All the meals have cheese in them
Hi, Courtneyd. Depending on the specifics of the recipe, you can substitute vegan versions of the cheese, nut butter, or avocado.
Hi. I don’t like avocados. What can I replace it with? Thank you
Hi, Mistyjennings74. You can double the feta cheese here, or add an ounce of nuts or seeds.
I know you said that any cheese is fine but can anyone recommend something they’ve already tried other than feta?
Hi, Smaria0826. There is regular goat cheese, of course, but other than that, you can try mozzarella cheese (full-fat) – cubes, soft balls, shredded, string, etc.
Amazing salad, newbie and love it.
Hi I don’t use vinegar much do to an ulcer. Is there any difference in it and regular vinegar or can I get away without using it at all?
Hi, Annette2111. You don’t need to use vinegar – it’s just a low-carb flavoring agent.
I don’t like Feta cheese what else can I use.
Hi, Tinabro23. Any full-fat cheese will do.
This was a really good salad. Easy to make and delicious. I let it chil for 3-4 hours and let it get real cold and let the balsamic flavoring soak in. I will make this a regular in my diet.
What kind of olive oil would you recommend ?
Hi, Deborah1478. There is a great guide on selecting olive oils here: https://www.wikihow.com/Choose-Olive-Oil. In terms of brands, it is generally safest to go with a product sold at a winery, or labeled by a store chain with a good reputation, like Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe’s, Sprouts, or CostCo (Kirkland). Otherwise, the best stuff can get pretty pricey.
Hi, I’m a newbie and I don’t like trout and other seafood. I like red snapper, talipa, Whiting, sole, butter fish and tuna in water not oil. These are the only seafood that I eat, no shellfish at all. Is there something else I can replace the trout or any other fish?
Hi, Kimrdavis11788. Tuna in water is fine in general. You can use any fish, meat, or poultry in these recipes, but for poultry or the leaner fish that you like, you will need to add 1/2 teaspoon of oil (preferably olive) for each ounce of fish or chicken/turkey in the recipe. This will keep your meal keto-supportive.
If I want a meal that is not in my meal plan for the day or under subststutions but a meal that I have eaten before ony meal plan can I still eat it.
Hi, Alicia7669. Absolutely!
This salad was delicious. I wanted to eat the second serving.
Hi, Lucidgls. Sorry for the long delay in getting back to you here – I didn’t get the usual notice of your question! You absolutely can have an additional half serving for a main meal like lunch or dinner.
This salad is delicious, feta cheese and all?. Simple to make….Enjoy!!!?
Can I switch out the cheese? Dont like feta
Hi, Lourdes. Any cheese is fine.
I was going to ask the same question. I don’t like Feta Cheese. Great news that I can switch it!
Hi, Kmaehansel. That information has been added .
what can I substitute avocados with
Hi, Mistyjennings74. You can double the feta here, or add an ounce of nuts.
Does anyone know the protein, carbs, and fat on this recipe?
Kmaehansel,
for a serving of one, I put it in my fitness pal app and this is pretty much a rough estimate. Depending on the name brand products that you use.
6g of Carbs
22g of fat
9g of protein
I hope this helps
