Ive about reached my goal..don’t want to lose it. In the winter we have a lot of vegetable soups, chili, etc. most of these will be my recipes perhaps tweeked a bit ..but I’m uncertain how to estimate how much of what to go with them. Example. If I have a veggie beef or chicken soup, I’m getting my meat and my veggies..but not, sure about how to calculate it (sorry, I’m not dipping my hands in The soup to weigh the meat!?). Suggestion a salad, bread, or,, just the soup and maybe a few crackers?
What about something like chili (Texas style. Sometime sometimes not .I make mine occasionally w chicken broth
Amount to eat. Cup ? Bowl? Any suggestions to pint my nose in the right direction would be appreciated.

Hi, Jan76. Congratulations! I’m happy to help.
A good serving would be a cup (about 240 ml or 8 fluid ounces), and you can have with it a cup of vegetable salad (with lemon juice or vinegar + 1 teaspoon of olive or flaxseed oil) and a 1-ounce slice of bread or 3 Triscuit-sized crackers (both 100% whole grain recommended, or course).
