Ingredients

  • Butter, unsalted, 1 stick (112 g)
  • Table salt, 1 Pinch (2 g)
  • Cheddar Cheese, 4 slices (112 g)
  • Ground Beef, 1.4 pound (636 g)
  • Parsley, 1 Tablespoon (4 g)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the grill for medium-high heat.
  2. Grate the cold butter using the large holes of a box grater.
  3. Place the ground beef in a large bowl and sprinkle the butter on top. Gently fold the butter into the beef and add parsley. Using your hands, form 4 (6-ounce) patties about 4 inches in diameter and 3/4-inch thick
  4. Place the patties on a rimmed baking sheet and season both sides with salt.
  5. Grill for 4 minutes each side. Using a thin metal spatula, flip the burgers and grill until the burgers are browned and crisp on the other side, about 4 minutes more.
  6. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of grilling. Serve immediately.
