Tagged: eggs and cholesterol
Hi,
I was on a keto style diet last year and lost more weight than ever in the past. When I went for my physical, my cholesterol was very high and my Dr. told me to get off the Keto diet – I did and went on Noom – trying to watch my fat intake, etc.. I gained all my weight back and then some (partially due to being cooped up during Covid). Anyhow, for my trim down club menus – i asked for low cholesterol and low sugar meal plan. All my plans contain a tremendous amount of eggs – ie: 3 eggs for breakfast – should I be concerned that my cholesterol will go up from that? I know there is a lot of controversy about eggs and cholesterol.. Thoughts – hoping a nutritionist from the plan can respond. Thanks
Hi, Alijunquera1. Not everyone is sensitive to the cholesterol in eggs, especially if they are the omega-3 type. Since you may be among the more sensitive, I suggest that you use the swap tool to change the eggs to something milder, such as egg whites or yogurt. Note that you can also just substitute two of the eggs, if you wish.
