ParticipantHi all. My plan calls for Granola bar. Wondering if there are restrictions on what kind. Lots of granola bars that are Hugh fat high sugar. Any guidelines? Same goes for salad dressing. Are they low fat? Looking for guidelines. Thanks

MemberHi, Patreahalsey. You can make your own granola bars (here is our recipe, which you can make without nuts: https://www.trimdownclub.com/recipe/fruit-nut-cereal-bars/), or you can buy those from small companies that don’t add excessive amounts of sugar, such as Libre Naturals (https://www.librenaturals.com/collections/granola-bars), 88 Acres (https://88acres.com/collections/granola-bar-boxes), Avalanche (https://avalanchebars.com/our-bars), Made Good (https://www.madegoodfoods.com/collections/granola-bars).
Salad dressings are simpler – just look for those with all-natural food-based ingredients (ingredients that you recognize). Fat is not as much a problem if it is from a good source like olive, avocado, canola, or flaxseed oil. Examples of good ones include Annie’s (https://www.annies.com/products/dressings/), Primal Kitchen (https://www.primalkitchen.com/collections/dressing-and-marinade), Organic Girl (https://www.iloveorganicgirl.com/product-category/dressings/). - AuthorPosts
