    Ingredients

    1. 1 Tbsp/15 ml organic canola oil
    2. ⅔ cup yellow onion
    3. 1 cup/160 g raw brown rice
    4. ½ cup/80 g raw wild rice
    5. 1 jalapeno pepper
    6. ¼ cup almonds/30 g slivered
    7. ¼ cup/25 g scallion / spring onion tops

    Directions

    1. Boil water as directed on rice package.
    2. Add ingredients with rice. Cook covered for about 30 minutes on low heat (until ingredients are tender).

    Season to taste.
