Where can I buy raw cheese? And, any recommendations for brands?
I saw raw cheese at Trader Joes, but I think the health food organic store should carry. hope that helps.
Thank you. We don’t have Trader Joes in Austin yet, but I have found other sources, i.e. Central Market and Randalls (Safeway).
This may be a crazy question but what exactly is raw cheese? I’m lactose intolerant. Is raw cheese better for my situation? This is my first day and I’m so excited to begin. I’m a one-a-day eater so this will definitely be a challenge for me.
Raw cheese is made from milk that has not been pasteurized or homogenized. It still has lactose, but like all cheeses, less than the whole milk. If you can’t have regular cheese, this may cause you the same problems. Unless you take lactase tablets before eating dairy, vegan cheese may be a better fit for you.
