Tagged: almond flour vs almonds ground
I want to make the almond cookies but the recipe calls for processing the flour from the almonds. I already bought the flour. Does anyone know how much 2 cups of almonds gives you in flour?
1-1/2 cups whole almonds make 1 cup almond flour, so the answer to your question is 1-1/3 cups.
Thanks – it means a lot when I can get answers quickly.
My local health food store told me that almond flour was the same as their finely ground almonds, is that right? or is it a finer grind?
They are generally interchangeable in baking. If you want to make a vegan cream cheese, then you’ll want the finer grind of the flour.
