MemberI believe that my knees will feel a lot better once I take off another 10 lbs. but for now they are really keeping me from doing any exercises or walking (also time constraints.) I need to lose about 40 lb. I’ve lost 3 lb. my first week on the program and hoping to keep up the good work. Any thoughts on my situation?

MemberMany people in this program are in a similar situation. Fortunately, there are many, many exercises that can be done. Aquarobics (exercises in a swimming pool) is considered the best, but there are also myriad floor exercises, including pilates. Some examples are provided in the program’s online guide “Exercising for Fat Loss,” and you can find other tips in the “Fitness” forum on this website.

MemberOssie; I was shopping in Walmart the other day and happened to catch my eye on an exercise DVD in the sports dept. It is called “10 Minute Solution” “Tighten & Tone Pilates” It contains a latex band to do the exercises with and there are 5 complete 10-minute workouts to choose from or to do all one after another (that would be once you’ve got them all down, I’m figuring because that would be a total of 50 min. I just purchased it and hoping to get started on it today. I will give an update next week on this. It also allows you to create your own custum workout. It was $10. Thanks for the advice on the “pilates” in a response you gave me to “bad knees.” We’re also considering getting a swimming pool this summer so that I can get some workouts there. KD
