TerrieClairMemberIn reviewing the shopping list, I noticed that foods such as garlic, onions, pineapple & kiwi are not listed under Fruits & Vegetables. Is this an oversight or is it not encouraged to eat? Also, I use Organic Blue Agave Nectar as a sweetener, as I don’t like the taste of Stevia. Is that OK?

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, TerrieClair. Garlic is a “free” food, and like other seasonings that are free foods, are not in the menu planner, but are highly encouraged.
Kiwi and pineapple are in the fruits list in the “Snacks” section, and are very much encouraged to eat!
Agave nectar is not the most recommended alternative to Stevia (the calories do add up, and it is not so easy on the liver and blood fats), but if you are looking for a natural alternative to Stevia, we would recommend xylitol (2/3 the calories of sugar, no aftertaste), coconut sugar (same calories, taste similar to brown sugar), or monk fruit (no calories, less of an aftertaste than Stevia).February 12, 2015 at 5:09 pm #26998

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Ruth. You can get it by clicking on the “Grocery List” button toward the right side of the toolbar above your finished menu.
