MemberI’m having trouble getting started. I live in Italy and many of the foods in the express start up and menu planner are not available here.
I already eat fresh vegetables, fruit, white meat and non processed foods but am failing to lose weight so that’s why I turned to the Trim Down Club. Any help would be greatly appreciated.March 15, 2013 at 12:01 am #10037Ossie-Sharon
MemberWhich items interest you that you are not finding? I would be happy to check possible sources. However,
Beyond that, you are on the right track with your food choices, but it may be the amounts and/or timing, as well as cooking methods and combinations. The Trim Down Club meal patterns are based on maximizing your metabolism and limiting the impact of rises in blood glucose and insulin on your weight. It should be an easy adjustment, and not based on special foods if they are inconvenient to come across – after all, this is not a short-term diet, but rather a long-term lifestyle.March 25, 2013 at 5:54 pm #10381fothc
MemberHi there, I’m substituting wholewheat crackers for SWG bread which just isn’t available in Italy. We also don’t have muffins. The closest I can get to a wrap is a piadina. When you say 2 ozs of Salmon is that fresh salmon, which we do get here? And are the sardines canned or fresh?
I’m sorry but I don’t know what I don’t know what Granola, Quinoa, Tempeh and Edamame are but have been substituting Granola with Spelt.
If you could perhaps give me an idea of the meal patterns I should be following and then I can adjust the ingredients to suit availability here. Thank you for your time and interest. Carole - AuthorPosts
