dogub123MemberHello..i have just joined. quickly I looked at the 14 day plan..most of the foods are not foods that I have or eat. Is there a way to get a list of foods I eat and and stay within the fats/protein correct amounts. I am feeling over-whelmed

ShellGMemberI agree with this poster. I need a substitute list. Swap xx for zz and it comes out the same. Also, I do not have access to refrigeration or kitchen place at work. I have to “eat on the run”. I am on the job outside sometimes for 10-12 hours. I need a list of “pocket foods” that I can carry in a plastic bag in my pocket to eat. Anyone have any helpful advice?

Ossie-SharonMemberHi to all, and welcome. Try using the Menu Planner application (in “Apps” above) to make your personalized menus. In the application, the foods in the lighter blues are the healthier ones.

sqeakaMemberI just signed up today and I did use the menu planner. However, I’m feeling overwhelmed too. Is there a way I can customize my plan besides the substituting button? Many of the choices are not options for me while I’m at work. Is there like a list of things we can pick from for each meal? What I’m having trouble with is if I don’t want beef, can I have chicken? When I click on substitute for beef, it does not give chicken as an alternative – even though I picked chicken as one of the foods i like. I’m assuming there is a reason why I can’t substitute it? I guess I want to know if there are certain requirements for certain times of the day and how does it mess things up if I don’t want one of the suggested items? Thank you,

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, squeaka. First, yes, you can absolutely substitute any meat for any meat, provided there is no huge difference in fat content and composition. Second, you can build your own menu by clicking on the circular arrow icon to the right of the name of the meal.
