MemberThis was my second day of the program. It seems to me that all I get done is cook and eat, cook and eat, and cook and eat. I think I will need to do cooking for a whole week at a time, on Sunday afternoons. I chose the easiest foods and no recipes for the first week so I could get used to it, but making large salads takes a lot of chopping time, it takes 25+ minutes to cook my oatmeal, 40 minutes, or brown rice for wild rice, etc. I eat breakfast, cook again, and then time to eat a snack, and the same two more times per day. Does anyone have any suggestions to make it easier so I can get out of the kitchen once in a while??? I do feel very full, which is good. I went down 3- 1/2 lbs the first day. I know the first week is a lot of fluid, but it’s a good start 🙂

Memberhello dawnrosie. I feel you on the replacing the food. I went out and spent close to 200 dollars to get the stuff for this week. the good thing is that most of the things I got wont be used up all at once. Kind of like spices. You buy them as you need them, and then you have them for later to use again.

MemberIt makes me happy to know that I have the support of like minded people. Motivation is strong when support is so readily available. A marvelous place to be. I appreciate all of you.

MemberThankyou Seaborn, I had a lovely shopping day yester’day, I feel a lot more motivated now. It took me a week before even starting this. I had a good first day and now looking forward to day 2. And well done to you Seaborn on the weight lose, every pounds is an achievement. And Ditto Ophelia, it’s great having everyone support at hand, even if we’re all spending a extra on our shopping lists. I have a new saying after looking at the biscuit tin yesterday ‘remember those sugary treats are only minutes on the lips but inches on those hips’. Good luck with the diets today everyone

MemberI was just thinking of nankates…I realised it is my nighttime, so maybe it is your morning girl….how you doing? I hope you are managing to win over the urge to have that evening beer…mine might not be beer or wine, but being a night owl, for some reason it is then that I want to snack on something like popcorn, or chips, or even a biscuit which I am not fussed on anyway!!! I guess we all have something that will try and drag us off our perch…hang in there girl…we are behind you!

MemberGood morning to you wonderful people…. Hello- from Houston Texas ….well I got up this morning, jump my happy self out of bed, and headed to “THE SCALE” thinking… thin, light as a feather. Lol then I stepped on it, the time of truth was here below my feet… Before I looked down at “THE SCALE” I thought….. you going to be nice and show good numbers… Wow…. I have gain 28 pounds in the past few years…. Good thing I’m starting this program this morning….. Today is my official starting date… So my thought are…. Eating good food to eat my way thin… And if I can’t find every food I’m going to talk to you wonderful people and see what foods you are choosing for each meal… And what seems to be help with getting the body in burn mode… If you are stepping on “THE SCALE” and you lost say 2 or 3 pounds that week… I’m wanting to know what foods you had for your week …. The main thing I need to keep in mind… My body is in fat storing mode… I have to make that change…. So I can get my body in the burn zone…. Okay first day of my body changing, mind training, eat to get to trim down program …. I need to stay focused on my goal to burn these pounds away…. And with such a great group on people to talk to… This is going to be a blast… Thank you… Have a fabulous day…

Memberginnerlou I don’t think I would eat both the potato dishes… Go in and choose something to replace one… In the planner for the week it will let you touch the dish and give you other options…. Hello to you in Dallas … We got lots of rain here in Houston last night and still raining off and on… Have a wonderful day to y’all ….

MemberToday is day three for me. And I have already lost 10 lbs. I almost cant believe it. I had no idea how much I was missing. Growing up in a Hispanic family really doesn’t show you how to feed your body the right way. And in a big family it was eat what you can or you will be left wanting. Not the best survival of the fittest example. LOL

MemberThanks Y’all. I didn’t realize I could change out after I set my menu. Duh! I will use my head next time and I will look to see what exchange I can use. Again thanks. Today is my 48th anniversary ( yes I was married at 2 (not!). Going to a late lunch as will see what I can exchange. Movies too but taking my snack with me so I won’t be tempted by the popcorn! Again thanks for the info. Carreenia it is still raining up here in big D. Love it. It’s been too long since we’ve had rain so enjoying it. Have a happy day

MemberI found a tea that is a fat burner for those who like tea…. It’s called Wu- Lung Tea….premium Chinese slimming Tea…. I’m going to add in my plan… My niece said it works…. If y’all are wondering where to get some…I ordered from this site http://www.WuLongForLife.com you drink it 2 times a day… Which is no problem for me… I love warm tea… It burns 2 times more calories than green tea…. Reduce the fattening effects of carbs… Increase energy levels…. Rev up your metabolism… It’s good…. I put tea in a cup then hot water let it steam 3 min and take the tea bag out…. I don’t even put sugar in it… I thought I would share this with the tea drinkers in this wonderful group of people….. Have a wonderful day y’all….
