Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Chrissy – yes, organic broth is great. You can also add herbs to it, like bay leaf, ginger root, saffron, sliced garlic cloves, or whatever you like.

FenrisMemberI received an email asking if I had gotten started and if I was having trouble getting started. Thanks for the support. I am on my 3rd day and doing well. It is more food than I usually eat so not at all hungry and sometimes can’t eat it all. I have been a vegetarian for 35 years so used to eating organic and healthy – just eating too much of the fattening vegie foods (Cheese, bread, snacks). I have Sjogren’s Syndrome which causes me to have huge teeth and gum problems so can’t chew nuts and crunchy foods, but I am trying to chop the nuts very fine and working around that problem. Otherwise, doing well and like the program. Hooray for the Trim Down Club!

DebraCalveryMemberhello, I am new to the program and the chooses were many. I have a lap band and am diabetic Most days I cannot eat as much food is on these list (or I should not eat this much) I have a hard time eating bread and bread products. Most dairy creates flim in my throat area and food does not go down so easily. Should I chose the vegan menues or continue to work with the reagular menues?

Funnygirl1MemberI am not replying just letting you know I am here. I am a 71 female who has to have Hernia surgery done. I have to loose weight first or it is to dangerous to perform the surgery. So it has to be done, no matter what. I am trying and we will see the results.

Ossie-SharonMemberApensa ;D Ha!Hi, Francis. Coconut nectar is not carbohydrate-free like Stevia, rather it is a substitute for agave nectar. A substitute for Stevia with somewhat less of an aftertaste would be monk fruit sweetener.

jackieeMemberHi All, Donna that’s a tricky question because for 2 years my dr told me, as long as meds were right then I shouldn’t have a problem losing weight, however that changed over the last 2 years because now he to has an underactive thryoid and has problems losing weight!!! no he has a different idea and keeps telling me I’m fine the way I am!!! I have also been given adivice from many people, but I know when I start putting on weight even when I’m not over eating, feel more tired and generally down that I need to get blood tests done to check my med levels. Maybe Ossie has a few ideas that could helps
Apensa, lol yes but there IS only ONE bottle of tequila, just don’t ask what all the other bottles contain!!!, but to tell you the truth most just collect dust now as the italian culture is so different from my scottish roots.
Well folks hope you have a happy healthy week, I’m off to Scotland for a weeks Holiday to see my mum and family so I’ll admit now I wont be following the diet most days!!! sorry I just love square sausage and a slice of bacon to much to not have good breakfast while I’m there. Take care all and good luck sticking to the plan

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Brian. It all depends how much fruit total and what you have with it. If you have a cup of fruit with the rest of your meal, that’s fine. If it is two cups of fruit, then you can swap out the second cup for a carbohydrate serving, such as bread or cereal. You do want to be sure to have a source of protein and source of fat with the fruit.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, MEZwirn. You can use the exchanges in the list to swap out the exchanges in your menu, or to build your own menu according to the exchange pattern that you see with you click on “View Menu Exchanges” to the right of your menu.

DeborahjjhayesMemberTaggie I do that. I yoyo lose but as long as I\’m on a downward spiral I\’m not going to worry about it. Are you on a lot of meds? Sometimes that can cause fluctuations.Hang in there it\’ll pick back up!
