apensaMemberLooking for an answer from Ossie on this one. Salt/Sodium seems to be the bane for all diets…..restricted or not. What about it, Ossie? I try to diminish my salt intake in everything. But, look at any commercially prepared food and the sodium content is almost always the highest percentage of the dietary breakdown. Sugar and alcohol seems to be my Cardiologists biggest point of admonishment. I can go without added sugar, but I sure like my Vodka a couple of times a week.

aramatscMemberHi all! I just joined this morning and was wondering if I could substitute protein from one lunch or dinner to the next. Due to allergies, I don’t eat fish or seafood, and just don’t like eggs…is it ok to substitute?
Thanks, and have a great day!July 13, 2014 at 8:36 pm #21628

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Kay, and welcome. Please do take advantage of the swap feature in the application – just click on the food you want to exchange, and a list of alternatives will pop up for your selection.
You can also rebuild the entire meal based on your assigned exchanges – click on the circular arrow icon to the right of any meal you want to modify, and the pop-up window will guide you through it.August 7, 2014 at 10:35 am #22364

DeborahjjhayesMemberWith the substitution arrow buttons, you never have to eat anything you don’t want ever again.

nakmakjayMemberHi. Started the 21 day challenge a week ago (cant remember in which email I found it). Checked the scale after 7 days didn’t lose but didn’t gain either which is good. Food choices are good and enjoy preparing. My daughter has joined me and she really enjoys it because I get to prepare the meals she doesn’t. Lots of food some days but we are getting through them. I try to walk at least 4 days a week for an hour or so, I am really hoping week 2 will show some progress weight-wise. Plan to continue this life change.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Joan. Probably, yes. Again, it is a matter of knowing what went into it. If the ingredients are not labeled, I would suggest to ask the baker/manager/owner.

Cindyf123MemberHi, being new our family has a lot of questions daily about the plan. This is the second day. Each one of us weigh a different number. We put the person who weighs the most in the category, does the menu for the rest of us still apply ? We also have another iPad so it’s hard to link up the same menu. Thank you Jeneieve

Cindyf123MemberAre we supposed to eat every 2 or 3 hours? I am not used to this structure. Thanks

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Cindy. It really should be more individual than that. If you can post the ages, genders, heights, weights, and activity levels of each person, I can tell you what proportion of your menu they should each should be eating.
