ThanksMarch 19, 2016 at 6:46 pm #34622
SupportKeymasterHi hodgos2,
happy to help.
Here is a list of drinks that you can drink freely while on the plan: http://www.trimdownclub.com/free-drinks/For more detailed explanations of beverages, be sure to have a look at our Quick Start Guide located in your My Downloads area.
Regarding the cup measurements, 1 cup = 16 Tbsp = 8 fl oz = 240 ml
For more information on our measurements, please see here – http://www.trimdownclub.com/reducing-the-size-of-recipes/
Hope this information helps. Please do write back if you need anything else.

MarcymjMemberHi I have only just joined and I’m finding this web site a nightmare to get any information about what I can drink or what I can use as spreads or sauces? It helps you plan your menu but it’s not very user friendly with giving any other info. Am I looking in the wrong place?

SupportKeymasterHi Marcymj and Dec2951,
Welcome.
I wouldn’t be so hard on yourselves. Slow and steady wins the race here.
Remember Rome wasn’t built in a day. With this in mind, I suggest that you take a look at the wonderful ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ area below your menu. You can also find some other tips and tricks here – http://www.trimdownclub.com/faq/
Hope this helps. Please do write back if you have any other questions πMarch 22, 2016 at 4:40 pm #34661
margotgeorge@hotmail.comMemberI am just getting started and have some questions. 1. Is it important to eat everything on the menu. It seems like a lot. Can I substitute a protein shake for breakfast or lunch 3-4 times a week. We normally eat a lot of hot cereal. (Cream of Wheat and Oatmeal) Neither of these showed up in my menu’s. Thanks

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Marcymj. If you go to your finished menu and scroll down, you will see the answers to your questions. If you have additional ones, please do repost.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Margot, and welcome. If you have been on restrictive diets in the past, it may indeed seem like a lot of food. A smoothie once in a while is absolutely fine, of course. As for the cereals, if you use the personal version of the Menu Planner application, you will find them in the “Carbohydrate” food list as options for breakfast. If you want to stick with the menu you have, you can click on the starchy breakfast foods currently present (for example, the 1/2 English muffin), and you will see hot cereal as a swap option.

KbustinMemberHi Ossie- I am new this week and love the menu planner and grocery list! I am curious though- in the promo video the dr mentions that she designed her eating plan by mimiking a coworker who ate certain combinations of food- I have yet to find that referenced anywhere on the site- is there some info on this somewhere? Also can I swap out lunch from one day for another?
Thanks ?March 23, 2016 at 10:25 am #34672
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, KBustin, and welcome! I’m glad to read you’re liking it here. First, you can definitely swap any meal between days. Second, the food combinations are pretty basic – try to accompany carbs with proteins to slow down their impact on blood sugar and insulin. Other combinations have to do with seasonings, and are reflected in many of our recipes. The most basic include garlic and/or turmeric and olive oil, lemon juice and/or tomato and olive oil, probiotics and blueberries, chocolate and berries, and cruciferous vegetables and mustard, as well as chili pepper or cinnamon anywhere you want.
