AngieSue920MemberGood morning! I just started my 8 week program today. I am 14 weeks away from my wedding, and 7 weeks away from my first dress fitting. My biggest questions revolve around protein and coffee…
I only drink coffee during the work week, and then it’s just a travel mug size (about 16 ounces). I use sugar free creamer and some Splenda (I know that’s a no-no, but otherwise it’s just too bitter) Any suggestions? Should I just cut it out – which I can do, since I’ve just started drinking it again thanks (or no thanks) to my fiance’. 🙂
The other issue is protein. I had gastric bypass surgery 12 years ago, and the weight has crept back on. I still take the vitamins and meds, plus meds for thyroid and breast cancer treatment, but I also usually have at least 1 whey protein drink a day. It has about 30 grams of protein in it. Is that something to continue??Any help you can sent my way is greatly appreciated!

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, AngieSue, and welcome! There are some good natural sweetener options – you can check out our guide here: http://www.trimdownclub.com/the-best-way-to-sweeten-your-tea-2. As for the creamer, we would recommend avoiding artificial items as well. Believe it or not, you would be better with a splash of natural cream (and a flavor extract like vanilla if you like that). Unless you’re blood pressure is sensitive to coffee, I wouldn’t recommend to cut it out.

Anne64MemberHi I am new on here and am finding the menu very useful. However I have a question about quantity measurements. My menu is in grams but some ingredients are measured in cups. What is the equivalent in grams (or ozs.)? I am from England and we don’t usually measure in cups!

jmorrison8334MemberHi, I am very new to this way of eating. I am finding the menu planner is too much food. So I don’t always eat everything that’s on it. There seems to be a lot of whole grain bread included. In the morning my husband and I have always started off with a smoothy and I am wondering if I am getting too much fruit that way. We include a banana, frozen berries, almond milk (unsweetend) plain yogurt, celery, spinanch and protein powder. By the time I get to work an 1.5 hrs has gone by and I have a medium coffee with cream. At this point I eat either a boiled egg or half a english muffin with riccotta cheese and a sprinkle of cinnamon. That’s it until lunch. Now is this way too much or is it okay? Help!

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, jjmginny. If you have been used to more processed foods in your diet, it could be that your body is working to cleanse itself. Do you have other “symptoms”?

Wondering if you can help me understand all the exchanges and what it is we should be looking for in what food we eat. I don’t get it?
I get that it changes into however many grams is in each. But I’m guessing we obviously have to be watching out for what is what?
Such as maybe to eat less carbs?
Not sure how this works or if we have to count it?

armstrongannMemberAnyone having problems with the downloads? Please don’t tell me to go to my downloads, start here & start download. I know this & it’s not working. Yes I tried support….see above. I’ve tried downloading on my laptop, tablet & iphone & I keep getting my dashboard with either ‘join now’ or my weeks menu??
