Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Mario. Yes – “100%” is a legal term, and when it is applied to any whole grain, it must mean exactly that.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, kulwinder. It is natural for there to be differences in weight status and loss – some of it depends on fluid shifts, too. If you find that your weight stagnates, the best way to deal with that is through exercise, including making changes to what you’re currently doing, to wake up new muscles.
As for the foods, white potatoes are actually fine, but white pasta is likely there if you are using the “popular foods” menus (white pasta is an option for people who are new and just getting used to the idea of whole grain pasta). If you switch over to the personal version of the Menu Planner, you can select the foods to go into your menus, and avoid the ones you don’t.April 26, 2016 at 6:44 am #35270
kulwinder.hundalMemberHi my daughter is doing the diet with me and following the same plan but she hasn’t lost any weight in fact she has put on 2lb is there a reason for this her height is 5ft and weight is 180lb can you please help her

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Kulwinder. According to the measurements, it looks like she needs a little over 3/4 of what you’re eating – just be sure she gets at least 5 total full fruit/vegetable servings and 3 calcium-rich food/beverage servings each day.

SusanHarterMemberHello,
My husband and I have just started this new eating plan. For the profile I used his height, weight and gender. How do I adjust the proportion sizes for me? He is about 245lbs and 5’8″ and I am about 180lbs and 5’6″.

anniburyMemberi only joined at the weekend and started Monday on a fixed menu from the menu tab, decided this wont work for me as it feels like a military maneuver prepping all the meals. i work long hours and so time spent in the kitchen on a daily basis will be a struggle to sustain. i figure if i loose a day at the weekend cooking and freezing the the on line recipes i stand a better chance. but i would feel safer if i could input my menu choices on the website (dont know the tab to use to do this) to calculate the positive% of the menu choices and be able to have a shopping list automatically created on line …
Is it possible to do this?

MariannelmurphyMemberI just started Monday and so far so good, although I’m struggling to eat all of the food. Are the green salads for meals optional, as I see there is no options for substitute.

Wondering about counter selection for breakfast cereal?April 29, 2016 at 8:14 pm #35373
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, SusanHarter. I just need your height, weight, and age, and both of your general physical activity levels, and I will do the calculations for you.

SusanHarterMemberMy husband is 51 years old. He is 5’8″ and 245 lbs. I am 50 years old. I am 5’6″ and as of today 177 lbs. We both have desk jobs. So I would say we aren’t terribly active.

Ossie-SharonMemberThanks for the information, Susan. You need about 3/4 (75%) of what will come up on his menu. It’s great that you are doing this together, and hopefully you can also find some physical activities to share – such as walking or even just leg and arm lifts in front of the TV.
If you would like more guidance there, you can ask me here or contact customer service through the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of each site page.April 29, 2016 at 10:25 pm #35377
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, annibury, and welcome! I suggest you use the personal version of the Menu Planner, which would better meet your needs. It’s the right-most option of the three Menu Planner types in the application area.
