firstmamawizzMemberI’m confused on where I find the portions of food…I’m new to plan

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, firstmamawizz, and welcome! The food portions are in a couple of places. Both in list form here – http://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists – and once you generate a menu in the Menu Planner application. In the latter, you will see the amounts allotted to you to meet your specific needs.

apensaMemberResponding to Jackiee’s post about the 8 hrs sleep. I do so envy you. I haven’t gotten 8 hrs sleep for years. I consider myself lucky to get six but the norm is four. It is h..ll to get old. Good to see you here again. Buon Natale.

dimples4566MemberI signed up August 2015 but didn’t follow through. I have since quit smoking and gained 35 pounds since August. I am now pushing 250 on a 5’8″ frame. I had my hip replaced a year ago and have since had bursitis in both hips which will not go away even with physical therapy. So- activity level is nil. I also just turned 50. I am on a downward slope- just need some encouragement that the pounds come off if just follow the diet and not exercise.

jackieeMemberLol, Apensa, I was like you between 4-6hours, but cut out drinking fluids after 7pm and go to be half hour after my lass, with a book, then my hubby always find me glasses hanging of my face and book on the floor, reading in bed always has this affect on me, lol. I still wake during the night but if I can drop back of just read a little, not good financially as have broken 2 reading glasses already but works for me. Vi auguriamo un Natale bellissimo e in Anno Nuovo pieno di cose belle.
Good luck Dimples, before I started exercising again, I just cut back a little more on carbs but stuck to regular eating and it helps.
Wishing Sharon Ossie and all on trim down, a magical Christmas and fabulous New year (if you celebrate this) xxxDecember 10, 2016 at 11:10 pm #37184

Irene1942MemberWell at the end of the 8 weeks I finished off with a good one, 2 lbs off. Thats only a total of 4 lbs over the 8 weeks. But considering Im eating a lot more than I used to and feel satisfied rather than starved, Im happy with it. Its a pity I had a set back with my injured ribs but they are also on the mend now. Ive not lost as much as Id hoped to but do feel a lot better. My sleep is also better. And considering it is relatively easy to stick to, hopefully I will keep shaving off more lbs here and there. Especially as I can start to become a little more active again now that my ribs are healing. Good luck to everyone else – its worth it.

jilmarcMemberJust started and loving it, but I want to understand how much “one serving of vegetables” equals in ounces?
Is it 1/2 cup or 1 cup that equals “one serving of vegetables” according to my daily menu. Thanks!December 28, 2016 at 5:29 pm #37254
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, jilmarc, and welcome! A serving is 1 cup raw or 1/2-1 cup cooked (we give you wiggle room to encourage more vegetable intake).

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Sophie. If you aren’t used to a lot of fiber, it could be that it’s a bit much too fast here. I suggest backing off a little, and drinking lots of water. Try to get exercise, to get your stomach muscles moving.

GerardineHyMemberHi again. A question about the “health rating” of menus. Which colour heart is the best green? When I print my menu out (colour printer) (am trying to do as much of the light blue food options as poss) I get a Red heart with a rating of 86% is that good or bad? thanks 🙂

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Geraldine. A great many people are in your post-holiday spot! The secret is to just not let it get you down, and just get back to what you were doing without procrastinating or kicking yourself. With regard to your menu, it only updates if you document a significant change in your weight or select new foods, and then click on “new menu.”
