debbiewri46MemberHello everyone. Newbie here, and I am excited to get started. I retired 2 years ago, and find myself 25lbs heavier…uggg. I get board easy so I eat. I have started walking, exercise classes and yoga. hopefully with this new way of eating it will also help..oh forgot to mention I stopped smoking and gained 10lbs..in 2 years I have gone from 124lbs to 163lbs. I feel terrible, I get tired easy, sluggish, and just ugly…not used to this weight..not liking it for sure..where and when did it get attached to me:)

carcycaterMemberHello- yes I am a newbie. And I already have a question. I went through my menu for the 1st week, and made changes. There was an option to print a grocery list. Now when I go back, I can’t find that option. Help!! (please)

Gemstar5MemberHi I’ve just joined and amazed about the amount of food set to consume. Does the plan still work if the snacks are missed? As I work a full time job and not sure that I will find the time to consume these snacks. Or is these more simple, quick snacks available?

Gemstar5MemberAlso does it matter if I don’t consume the full meal? I’m still overwhelm by the amount of food to consume.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, GemStar. It’s great that you’re in tune with your satiety signals! Don’t fight them 🙂 You can skip snacks if you wish, but just be sure that by the end of the day, you’ve had a total of 5 servings of fruits/vegetables and 3 servings of calcium-rich foods/beverages, and that you’re not so hungry that you want to binge right before bed (or in the middle of the night).

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Carcy, and welcome! The grocery list link is in the toolbar above any of your menus. I’m attaching the one for your most recent menu here: http://menugenerator.trimdownclub.com/GroceryList.aspx?user_id=706392&menu_id=2&feeling_lucky=0&diet_path_id=11&country=us&measurement_weight=0&TB_iframe=true&height=650&width=725&inlineId=myOnPageContent.

RobinMunizMemberI am new and I have a question about the food exchanges?
What should they be for the main meals so when I’m out of the office and can’t follow a recipe I eat the correct amount of foods. I see in other posts there are exchange values but don’t know what we are supposed to follow.
I am super excited to start this new year with you all.January 6, 2017 at 9:02 pm #37323
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Robin, and welcome! You can see the exchanges you are allotted by clicking on “Exchange mode” in the toolbar above your menu. They correspond to the list of exchanges are here: http://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists.

qakristenMemberNewbie here. Day 1. Why is raw spinach “free” but spinach is on the portion list? an I truly add all the “free” vegetables I want throughout the day?

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, qakristen. The amount of raw spinach that goes into the same volume of cooked spinach far exceeds what anyone would eat in a sitting.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Anita. You can compare the exchanges at the end of each recipe (before the comments section) to the ones allotted to you for your menu. You can view the latter by clicking on “Exchange mode” in the toolbar above any of your menus. The match doesn’t have to be perfect – you can trade carbohydrate exchanges for protein.
