KatieRobinsonMemberHi, just joined today and easing myself into it. I did a couple of diets about 10 years ago, and lost 26lb over 10 months, but it has gradually all slipped back on. Never done any of the fad programs, and it’s nice to see a program based on science and common sense. Looking forward to my progress. I have downloaded all the material, and will go through the getting started guide tomorrow.

mirandafountainMemberIt’s Week 3 and I fell off the wagon at the end of last week. I am now looking for my new Menu Plan for this week and can’t find it. I really don’t want to go through all the foods again to create a new one – or do I have to? Thanks for any help. I am not going to beat myself up too much for this set-back. I want to succeed!

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Miranda. In the “Tools” area (top right side of each site page), click on the far right option to see all of your menus.

chefltMemberWhy is it when I have joined two groups, they are 99% members joining or posts (very few) with no responses?

chefltMemberIs there a way to choose gluten free as an attribute when planning a menu? I have that and other restrictions (no gums, no fermentable starches) but don’t necessarily want to go thru the look at every food plan a menu.

chefltMemberhow can I search in the forum? I don’t have the time to scroll and read everything!
February 1, 2017 at 4:47 pm #37693
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Cheflt. Regarding the groups, that’s a great question. They may be all waiting for someone else to make a post to which they can respond (?) If you would like an active one, try “Successful Beginnings.”
Regarding gluten-free, you can make that selection in your profile; click the appropriate box in the lower right corner.

drichtp3MemberI am new to this. Just found out I’m borderline diabetic. I also need to cut out dairy. Is there something special I should enter to find Low-carb, dairy free recipes? I have all of a sudden been thrown into dietary restrictions because of health issues and I really want some ideas and help transitioning.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, dricht. You are in the right place – our entire program is based on principles of supporting folks in your spot. You can adjust your profile to reflect your non-dairy needs (click the corresponding box in the lower right area of your profile). Then use the personal version of our menu planner (the right-most option here: http://www.trimmdownclub.com/menuplanner) to select the foods that you like at the meals you want them, guided by our color-coding system wherein the healthiest foods are in the lighter blue shades. The pattern is arranged to meet your nutritional and glucose-balancing needs according to the information you provided.

brendajaquesMemberI just went shopping today and going to start the plan tomorrow. Can anyone tell me the benefits and difference of choosing the organic omega-3 eggs verses the organic range free eggs?
February 5, 2017 at 1:49 am #37719
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Brenda. Not all free-range laying hens have consistent access to their natural diet, and so may not produce a useful amount of omega-3 fatty acids. When the amount is optimized, the egg is a uniquely good vehicle.

WilsonJMemberI’m on my 4th week in the trim down clud and have lost only 1 pound. Is this normal? I find it discouraging. I feel this is way to much food for me as i have low thyroid and am not this hungry. I do eat my 3 main meals every day. But usually only get in one sometimes 2 snacks. I wlk 3 miles, ride a hour on the bike 3 times a wee. I go to zumba class twice a week. Low impact weight lifting 3 times a week and platies twice weekly.
I am recently retired and gained 15 lbs. While working i was extremely physically active znd still had a weight issue. What’s a girl suppose to do?February 6, 2017 at 5:03 pm #37730
JeanieHMemberHi I’m very new this is my first day.this is all confusing.I don’t eat fried foods no meats, can’t digest raw veggies but can eat cooked.Any help on planning my menu
February 6, 2017 at 10:21 pm #37732
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, WilsonJ. Try changing your weight to “169” pounds and renew your menu. This will give you a little less food.
February 6, 2017 at 10:25 pm #37733
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Jeanie. I think you would benefit most from the personal version of the Menu Planner (the right-most option here – http://www.trimdownclub.com/menu-planner) so that you can select the specific foods to go in your menu, avoiding those that don’t work for you.
