Ajones93MemberHello everyone my name is Ashlee. I am new to trim down club and I am so excited about this journey. I am a young working college student so sometimes I don’t have the funds to get these grocery recipes. Are there any simple recipes or meals I can get, especially when I’m at work?

jlelandMemberHello,
I am new to this. I am a stage 4 cancer survivor and I desperately want to loose weight because fat feeds cancer.June 22, 2017 at 8:53 pm #39061
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Ajones. You definitely don’t need to go beyond your budget here.
First, I suggest that you use the personal version of the Menu Planner application so that you can select the foods that work for you. In the toolbar above your current menu, click on “My Food Choices.” You will be brought to the food lists, where you can make your selections in each major category (large upper buttons) and subcategory (side buttons). When you’re done there, scroll to the bottom of any of the pages and click on “SAVE AND CREATE MENU.” Once your menu is generated, you can still make changes by clicking on the food you wish to swap out, then selecting a replacement from the pop-up list of alternatives.
Second, you may find some useful information in our articles on healthy eating within a budget (http://www.trimdownclub.com/budget-friendly-ways-to-manage-your-weight and http://www.trimdownclub.com/managing-a-budget-while-managing-your-weight).
Third, do take advantage of the search feature in our recipe collection, to find recipes with any of the following words in them: simple, easy, classic, basic, quick.June 22, 2017 at 9:10 pm #39062
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, jleland. We are happy to help in whatever way we can.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Patty, and welcome. Can you describe what you mean by food “for three days”? Were you on a restrictive diet before? Are you physically active? Any limitations?
June 24, 2017 at 11:27 am #39071
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, sktsts. Only if it is freshly squeezed.

PattySmitMemberHi, thank you 🙂 Food for 3 days in the meaning that I might be able to have all that food over three days! I am not very active, as a matter of fact, I can barely walk, but still, I gained weight over the past year and a half and finally decided to get rid of it. I am not on a diet but my food intake is around one-third of that shown in a daily menu of the planner tool… I simply eat a very small amount of food for it is enough to fill my stomach, but it seems that every 10 grams of food become 20 grams of fat in my body 🙁

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Patty. Thanks for that information. There’s definitely room for compromise, and I’m happy to help in whatever I can.
First, you can cut back a bit on the foods in your menu, preferably from the starchy carbs. Stick with the protein and produce foods.
Second, walking or even being on your feet is not essential for physical activity, but some form of exercise is very important to your health – if you lose weight without it, you will lose muscle, and that can impact your organs and ultimately function. The following are a few of our videos for ideas to get you started:

MonicaHoustonMemberHi I have no clue where to start ?
June 27, 2017 at 11:04 am #39088
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Monica. We suggest to start with the 8-week introductory path. The link is on the home page, but I’m also placing it here: http://www.trimdownclub.com/sbs/standard-guide/week-1/week-2/week-3/week-4/week-5/week-6/week-7/week-8/.
