MemberSorry me again. I don’t see anything about drinks including alcohol. Green tea, juices, wine, beers etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction to add these-especially for weekends!!

MemberHi, dsimpson. Green tea is “free” (as are other teas, as well as coffee, depending on the sweetener and/or whitener added).
The rest can fit onto your menu by selwcting them in the “My Food Choices” area (limk in the toolbar above your menu) – in the “Beverages” subcategories of the main foid groups.August 7, 2018 at 10:21 pm #41782Ossie-Sharon
MemberYou wilk also find “potatoes” in those food lists, under “Carbohydrates.”

MemberHi all. Brand new, just feeling my way thru everything.
I thought this was more a keto plan. Was I mistaken?August 9, 2018 at 2:04 am #41785mcc93
MemberHi, I dont see lentil pasta listed anywhere (it’s so yummy!) Not sure how to count it.
Is there a master list of all the foods with exchanges? I stumbled on it once, but now I cant find it.
Thanks!August 9, 2018 at 4:26 am #41786Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, mcc93. Lentil pasta would be counted as its legume source – so if it’s “mung bean fettucini,” just select “mung beans” in the Menu Planner food lists. Legumes are in the “Carbohydrates” category, but also count as protein in the automatic calculations.

MemberHi, Ladydi1695. The program is intentionally flexible to enable various types of diets.
To make your menu keto-compliant, access the subapplication of the Menu Planner by clicking on the circular arrow icon on the right side of each meal header. Once in that area, select foods of your choice to match the food group exchanges listed, but making the following substitutions:
1. Two fats for each carbohydrate exchange
2. Non-starchy vegetables instead of fruits, one exchange for one exchange
3. No sweet exchange
4. In addition, talk to your health care provider about multivitamin/mineral and calcium supplements.

MemberOkay, so if I am trying to be mindful of my carb intake, would i consider them a carb, or a protein? Also, can you direct me to the master list w all exchanges that i saw but cant seem to find again?

MemberHi, mcc933. Lentil pasta is a combination of carbohydrates and proteins – each ounce uncooked or 1/2 cup cooked = 1 carb + 1 protein exchange.
The master list of exchanges is here: http://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists.
If you use the personal version of the Menu Planner application (access it by clicking on the “My Food Choices” icon in the toolbar above your current menu), you will see some of our recipes in the “Recipes” subcategory of each major food group. For newer recipes that have not yet been added into the system, you can use them to substitute for the main ingredient in your meal. You can also match up the exchanges visible at the end of each recipe and when you click on “Exchange mode” in the toolbar above your menu. It doesn’t need to be a perfect match to work.August 14, 2018 at 9:01 pm #41812Ladydi1695

MemberHi, Bethany. In the “My Guides” section (link at the right end of the toolbar near the top of the page), you can download the main Program Guide and Quick Start Guide, which provide information about menu planning. You may also find lists of food exchanges helpful: http://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists.

MemberJust started today. There are some things that I actually like that I have no idea if they are acceptable. Example: Atkins Harvest Trail Cherry and Nut bar. It has 8 gr of protein,
150 cal, 9 gr total fat, 16 carbs, 10 grams fiber, and 2 grams sugar.
Where can I search to see if this is ok as a snack or part of lunchAugust 21, 2018 at 5:22 pm #41831Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, marqu72. The best way to tell is by looking at the ingredients list and Nutrition Information. We encourage foods with ingredients that are relatively whole, unprocessed, and low in added sugars, and discourage ingredients that are artificial and/or refined. The product you mentioned would be OK as an occasional treat, but because it contains an artificial sweetener (sucralose) and isolated/refined protein and carbohydrates (whey and polydextrose), using it on a regular basis might work against your goals. If you like bars like that, it would be ideal if you could something similar yourself – we have a few recipes here, to give you an idea: http://www.trimdownclub.com/?s=bars&post_type=recipe.
